Denton area Association of Secular Homeschoolers is a member-driven, inclusive group of home educators who believe the confines of a traditional classroom cannot possibly provide enough exposure to the world around us and the cultures and experiences it holds.
DASH is a loosely-structured organization that provides social interaction for home-schooled families as well as field trip and learning opportunities. We meet in public parks and other spaces as well as member homes. Field trip days we gather at our destination and are free to explore as each family desires (unless otherwise designated by our hosts), while still receiving the benefit of a group discount.
We do not discriminate or exclude anyone and there is no requirement or stipulation for membership other than our annual family membership fee, and of course a passion for nurturing and encouraging our children to become the artists, critical thinkers, scientists, musicians, and open-minded leaders of tomorrow.
